Personal Loan Program Reform

Description
The personal loan program is the cornerstone of what we do here at La Ceiba, and it’s broken. Our repayment rates are now at a level that our viability as a Microfinance institution is now in jeopardy. Through personal initiative, research and communication with Dr. H and Hugh, we have put together some proposals that will increase the repayment rate, improve client retention and allow us to expand our portfolio of services to better accommodate the needs of our clients. We welcome any and all input and criticism. These are fluid proposals and we felt it was best to introduce them during the summer, as we would be able to adjust to feedback so they could be discussed more seriously in the Fall. We anticipate a formal presentation once we are all back at school, where each option could be weighed and judged for its merits and then voted on.
